Description | 0.73c#21 - There is small delay in passing an artifact from one hero to another, in the sense that it first appears in the new slot and only a moment later it actually disappears from the original slot. And we have the same delay effect on the related bonuses. E.g.: in the VCMI_Tests map attached to 0000146, take Sir Mullich to meet with Neela. And have him pass the Badge of Courage to her. You'll see she gets it immediately, together with the morale bonus, but only half a second later the badge icon disappears from Sir Mullich's slot, together with the morale bonus. | ||||||||
Additional Information | This "bug" will probably disappear when click-grab functionality will be implemented for artifacts, but until then, the delay is quite noticeable. So this can be marked as resolved either if fixed, or if the click-grab functionality will be implemented (and provided that the delay in applying the change in bonuses will be solved as well). Is this still a problem? Issue is quite old so I can't recall, but there will always be some delay because of server communication. |

No. It's fixed. And there is no delay, because click-grab works now, so the bonus disappears from the moment we select the artifact. There's still a small difference with OH3, in the sense that the artifact is grabbed only after we lift the mouse click, but in a way I like this behavior, because I guess it's the reason we can still R-click while the artifact is grabbed (which wasn't possible in OH3). So I am going to mark this as resolved. If the click-grab functionality was implemented by someone else (as that's what solved the problem), please re-assign. EDIT: After a closer look, it seems click-grab was implemented in 0.75, but sometime after that (0.75b/0.75c), someone took care to have also the artifact bonuses removed in the moment when we grab the artifact (not just when we place it on the destination hero, like it used to happen in 0.74 & 0.75. |
