Summary0000635: It's impossible to play high wide screen resolution in a full screen mode
DescriptionWhen I see a pree game screen and click on the New game icon a windows that appears is translated to the right-button corner. The same situation appears in the window game. That make playing the game in higher resolution in full screen impossible.
Steps To ReproduceI've set the following settings in config/settings.txt file:
- resolution=1440x900; // format: WxH
- pregameRes=1440x900; //WxH
- screenSize=0x0; //WxH, if 0x0 will be set to he same value as resolution
- fullscreen=1; //0 - windowed mode, 1 - fullscreen
Additional InformationBTW, is it possible to set the high resolution (e.g. 1440x900) and have town window or battle one scaled to the maximum screen size?

Different resolutions are not handled for PreGame. Set it back to 800x600.

ruppertus' resolution settings have nothing to do with the bug (so he doesn't need to set back to 800x600 > it just won't be any good if he uses other for PreGame).

But the report is nevertheless confusing because it's based on altered settings, other than those of the original 0.83 and because it signals a major 'blocking' issue ("impossible to play"), while F4 solves the problem easily. Therefore I'll close this one and leave 0000645 open, which explains the actual bug (I opened that one not even realizing it's related to this, just because the subject, category & description here were totally misleading - for me at least).

@ruppertus: to answer your question, VCMI supports other resolutions than 800x600 for Adventure Map only (for now). All other in-game full interfaces (town/battle) open in windowed mode, while the Main Menu is not at all adapted to a decent look for higher resolutions - for now it's there only for its functionality. There are plans to improve that, some work already done, but we'll see when its turn will come in the list of devs' priorities to complete the coding and have it ready for testing. ;)
