Summary 0000529: HotSeat lose condition: If one player loses during his turn, the game goes to Main Menu (the other players cannot continue)
Revision 2010-07-13 10:38 by Zamolxis
Description H3 had a certain behavior in this case, which can be taken as bug or feature: if the player lost the last hero during his turn (and no town still owned) then he was not immediately thrown out of the game, which would jump to the next player. Instead, he was still able to scroll the map, r-click on objects (maybe even purchase boats from owned shipyards, didn't test that yet) or access game menus. So he had to hit End Turn before another player would get his turn.

In practice this was probably not an issue, as usually multi-player is played with time limit online, or in hotseat between friends which can agree about hitting that End Turn button. Maybe NWC implemented it as such to allow the defeated hero to save the game for his curiosity or what not, I don't know. But I thought of pointing it out and leave it up to you to choose how exactly it should behave when fixing what is reported in the summary.
