Description | As I start VCMI, the process takes about 5 secs and then it gets fatal error, and requests to give to support attached file below, as I found log I saw this text below: Creating console and logfile: 0 Loading settings: 8 VCMI 0.87 (client) New screen flags: 0 Initializing screen: 609 Initializing video: 5 Initializing minors: 0 Loading default system settings: 3 Initializing sound: 222 Initializing screen and sound handling: 1634 Loading .lod files: 70 Reading OBJNAMES Reading ADVEVENT Reading XTRAINFO Reading MINENAME Reading MINEEVNT invalid string position Disaster happened. Reason: 0xe06d7363 - UNKNOWN EXCEPTION at 0023:75D4B9BC Thread ID: 133c [4924] Crash info will be put in VCMI_client.exe_crashinfo.dmp In 0.88 the result was the same, but I thought that 0.87 will solve the problem. Changing language to English solved the problem, i think that would be the attention for other newbies. Remember!! As you install HoM&M change language to English!! |

What language you were using originally? (The one that did not worked) Can you upload localized files? |

I was using Polish language HoM&M, files i won't upload anything because i haven't any idea whish files should I upload |

It is recommended for everyone to use English files. http://download.vcmi.eu/dataEN.7z [^] Upload the Data\ text files for Ivan, then replace them with this package. Still, I believe it could be finally fixed now ;) |

In most cases you won't find text files in Data\ - usually they're packed in *.lod files. To extract you can use this tool: http://wogarchive.ru/file.php?id=119 [^] Text files are usually in Data\H3bitmap.lod but some localizations may use separate *.lod file. Find your localized files and upload them here. If they're not in H3bitmap.lod - post correct filename as well. |
