Summary | 0000468: 2-hex creatures are treated again as 1-hex (new 0.8b behavior) | ||||||||
Description | I know we still had a few issues with 2-hex creatures in 0.8, so probably this was created while trying to fix some of those. Basically they seem to be handled as 1 hex creature now. If you see the 1st screenshot attached, Griffins appear to be able to move only 8 hexes ahead. In reality it's actual 9, because the front hex is not considered as part of the creature by the game mechanics. Further proofs of that are: - The shaded hexes show that the Griffin can go behind the Earth Elemental as 1-hex creature - R-click on the front hex of the creature does nothing - We can fly and position our creature in the front hex of another 1-hex creature (2nd screenshot) | ||||||||
Steps To Reproduce | Take map attached to 0000327. To reproduce my screenshots, take Aisilinn, conquer the purple town Inferno and grab the Griffins in its garrison to fight the Earth Elementals to the East. But you can also simply attack any of the enemy heroes with 2 hex creatures in their army who are on the land patches to the South. | ||||||||
Additional Information | EDIT: Among other effects are the facts that 2-hex creatures at banks are misplaced (i.e.: the upper left one overlaps our hero) or that 2-hex creatures can end up with their front hex outside of the hex grid if they go the other end of the battlefield. | ||||||||
