Summary | 0000453: Feature request: possibility to start battles directly (skip battle freeze during intro music)
Revision | 2010-04-05 00:38 by Zamolxis
Description | Starting from a request on the forum: http://forum.vcmi.eu/viewtopic.php?p=4591#4591 [^] I'm not sure if others feel the same about this, but when playing a map for hours or even days, after hundreds of battles, those 6-7 seconds of intro music before the battle can begin, start to feel annoyingly long after a while. The battle intro sequence (music + battle freeze) is not even implemented yet in VCMI 0.8. But when it will be implemented, could we consider one of the following: a) The intro music to just play in parallel while battle can start directly. This however may be potentially buggy (but if not, I would really like it at least as an option). b) Have a shorter version of the music intro (max 2 sec), as alternative to the original one. I'm not a specialist, but I could probably create it from the original if a dev would consider this solution. c) If none of the above is possible, then at least we could have in the future "VCMI Tweaks" settings page (whatever its name will be), one option which will say sth like this: "Start battles directly (disable intro music)". |
