That's weird - everything looks to be fine even on Windows machine - the only crash I got was due to missing PNG support on Win.
Do you still have that icons in Data/zvs/Lib1.res/ directory? This is where they are located in WoG.

On a forum I posted folder which contains these icons as a separate package. However your solution may be fine by now (though I'm not sure if we're going to make it all WoG-dependent).

VCMI is already WoG-dependant - main menu for example. And I don't think that cluttering VCMI package with files that user already have is a good idea.
