0000669: vcmiclient crashes trying to start up
I have successfully compiled vcmi from SVN, but i can't run it — it segfaults! here the log:

$ vcmiclient

please tell me if any info about my machine is needed.

I would start here. Do you have such file in appriopriate directory? And all the rights to access it?

This is not what you should see there.
Copy this directory from source code:
cp -rf /PATH/TO/SOURCE/config /usr/share/vcmi/vcmi

If you want to use non-standart resolutions you should also extract Data and Sprites directories from Windows release.
