0000053: Enemy creatures should have their hex shaded if they are within the attack range of the active creature (melee+range)
0.72#74 : Enemy creatures should have their hex shaded if they are within the attack range of our active creature (melee+range).

I guess NWC's logic behind it, was to mark the range regardless of the creatures in hexes, to know exactly how far we can get with a certain creature, in case the enemy creature would move or is killed
