0003134: Single player game based on random map crashes within the first month or two of game play.
Playing a randomly generated map (XL, 8 players--one human and seven computer), I start receiving error messages during the AI cycle at the end of a turn. The most common messages are indications that one of the AI players doesn't have enough money to hire another hero. This happens repeatedly, but it doesn't seem to immediately cause a crash. I do, however, notice a fair number of enemy heroes with minimum troops, as if the AI is putting all resources into hiring heroes. (I saw a problem like that listed earlier, but I believe it was solved. I'm using the latest daily build, so presumably it's not the same one.) Anyway, in the second month of game play, the program crashed on two separate occasions. I adjusted mods in use. (For example, I had been using a 9.0.0 WOG and switched back to the 8.9.3 one on the approved list. That actually caused a crash in the first month.) Otherwise, all mods have been on the built-in list with the exception of two towns (Pavilion and Forge). One other oddity I noticed was that the AI labels all the players as human even though it's controlling seven of them and sent me a message as if I'd lost when another player was eliminated. I was using the same map settings I've used in the vanilla game, with all players playable by a human. In Scenario Information, only the one I'm actually playing shows as human, and the others show as computer, which is how it should look. But in the scenario description, all players show as human. I tried setting up with one human and seven computer players, and map generation failed.
1. Set up a map using the steps described above.
2. Play normally, and wait for the crash!
(Surely, there must be more to it than that, or someone else would have reported it, but I'm not seeing an obvious factor that would account for it.)
I've attached the client dump info from the last crash. Hopefully, that's the one you need. I also have the server one, as well as the saved game files from that playthrough if needed.
