Summary0000419: Crash when visiting Obelisk in a loaded game
DescriptionIt happened only once [EDIT: since 0.82/83 the chance of occurrence seems to have increased]. I loaded Autosave_3 savegame attached and I tested different digging options: with hero in town (correct "Try searching on clear ground" msg), by pressing "D", by using the button where there's no grail and finally digging out the grail. After I also visited the obelisk, but I got the crash. No dmp file created. Logs attached.
Steps To ReproduceUPDATE: new 0.83 save games in the recently uploaded archives, to help reproduce (normally no specific steps needed, just load and go to the Obelisk which should be near hero)

Console shows the reason of crash but I have no idea, how it could happen... [unless you somehow visited obelisk at the moment of loading save :P ]
I've added little more logging around that, please reopen if issue shows again.

I managed to reproduce it. I get a new pop-up saying "Enter char to delete up to:" as you can see in the screenshots. Unfortunately no crash dump created. But I attached the logs and the saved game.

To reproduce, just load the saved game in the newly attached archive and visit the Obelisk with Ivor.

It can only be reproduced with the saved game. With new game it works fine. There were not particular actions I took before the crash. I started the map (the one from 0000091), went to Redwood Observatory with Ivor, then towards the Obelisk, hit End Turn, save, load, go to Obelisk.

I suppose it may be connected to printing special sequence to terminal
("enter the char delete up to" - looks like terminal answer to control sequence)
also it could be connected with mixed binary serialization with text printing

No more occurrences in 0.84 or 0.85(c), so most probably fixed for good. Closing.
