Summary0001321: Server encountered a error: cannot shoot.
DescriptionSubj. VCMI spams this message during battle (not every of them) fnd into console. And it's true, I cannot shoot. Ranged units behave as they are melee.
Steps To Reproduce1. Start any map.
2. Enter battle.
3. If you will be (un)lucky, you'd see this.

Details, please. Which map, which units, against what kind of enemy. Preferably provide save when this is reproductible.

Is this AI or mechanics issue? When does the message appear?

Message appears when battle begins. I don't think it's AI issue. While tryed to reproduse, game crashed twice. Please make it more stable, then release.

This time crashed when I tried to hire new hero in tavern (exactly when I clicked on tavern). Map I'm trying to play is "Always ready!" or something like that, the first map in list when filtered to show only small maps.

If that's a different bug, start new issue.

Bug reports are useful only when they are detailed and allow us to reproduce the bug easily (or know they are not reproductible).

If game crashes approximately after a minute of playing and every time different ways, I should open new bug for every crash? Why you don't just try to run it and play by yourself?

1. Because the fact that game crashes for you doesn't mean it also crashes for anybody else.
2. The game is big and complex, while the time of developers is limited and precious. That's true for all open-source projects.

I'm sorry, I can't help you. My knowledge of English doesn't allow me to write detailed bug reports for every crash. Besides, after so many crashes I don't want to run it anymore.

Я так понимаю, проблемы с локализацией вызывают краши. А то, что юниты стрелять не могут, это тоже сязано с локализацией?

Да. Некоторые из абилок читаются из русскоязычных файлов которые VCMI правильно прочитать не может. То же относится к, скажем, параметрам существ и героев.

На следующей неделе постараюсь с этим багом разобраться.

Я заменил текстовые файлы на английские из того поста. Краши прекратились по большей части. Но только что игра упала, когда герой-бот подошел к гильдии воров. Это связано с этим багом?

Скорее всего что-то другое. Английские текстовики должны полностью локализацию заменить.

И по поводу багрепортов:
1) Желательно всегда добавлять логи
2) Если баг повторяется, то докинуть название карты и/или сохраненную игру (состоит из двух файлов). Если нет - то добавить файл *.dmp

Ну и по возможности - на английском. Русскоязычных тут не много.
