0000723: FPS counter setting is not properly parsed
Even with default config file from r2063, FPS option is not recognized by parser. No matter if I edit this file for ShowFPS = 0 or 1.

The default configuration of the FPS Counter is 0 which means that it's not displayed. Perhaps you entered a blank between the 1 and the equal sign. It should work in that manner: showFPS=1;
